Meet the Executive Director

Generative Learning has been committed to improving teaching and learning in schools across the world for over 20 years.

Jim Roussin, Executive Director of Generative Learning, has worked as an assistant superintendent, language arts teacher, ESL coordinator, ASCD Middle East consultant, and adjunct professor.

Generative Learning’s unique approach focuses on building healthy organizations and human development through the lens of natural systems theory and complexity science.

Just as all teachers are expected to facilitate the learning of ALL learners, regardless of their abilities, principals must be able to facilitate the professional development of ALL teachers regardless of their expertise. Jim’s coaching course has given me tools to facilitate that development; even with challenging staff... Jim struck a nice balance of presenting new information, practicing the application, addressing different learning styles within the participants, and remediating when participants were unclear on a concept.
